This region is predominantly inhabited by the Danu and Pa-O ethnic communities. We work in collaboration with 300 farmers. They are our dedicated producer members, 150 of them are youth and a total of 225 of the 300 are women. Besides our 300 producer members, we also work with 3,000 associate members from whom we source additional produce.
On average, each acre of our land yields between 1,500 and 2,000 kilogrammes of coffee cherries. The coffee blossoms bloom from April to May, leading to the harvest season from December to March. In 2022, our harvest yielded an impressive 52 metric tonnes of coffee beans. Around 90% of our production is destined for export markets, while the remaining 10% serves the local market.
The captivating landscapes of Myanmar's mountainous Shan state, where our farms are located, create an ideal environment for coffee cultivation. There you find stunning waterfalls and scenic views. It provides a picturesque backdrop for our endeavours.
The climate is mild and we cultivate our coffee in the high-altitude fields surrounded by these mountains. The plantations are peaceful and beautiful too. Avocado, silver oak, and jack trees provide natural shade for our coffee trees.
